Emploi Privacy Policy
Emploi is a brand of Crost Limited, a company registered in Nigeria (RC 9526947). Crost Limited is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Emploi helps you apply for jobs: you upload your CV, we analyse it with AI and generate tailored application documents, and we check employers for scam signals. Your CV is personal data, and this policy explains exactly what we do with it.
What we collect
When you use Emploi you may provide: your CV (a PDF you upload), the profile extracted from it (name, work history, skills, education, career goals), job descriptions you paste or upload, and application documents we generate for you. We do not ask for — and you should never provide — bank details, BVN, NIN, passport numbers, or payment card details. No legitimate use of Emploi requires them.
How your data is processed
Your CV text and profile are sent to Google's Gemini API to extract your profile and generate application documents. This means Google acts as a processor of that data under its API terms. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with employers without your action — you decide what to send and to whom.
Storage and retention
If you use Emploi without signing in, everything lives in your browser session's memory and is erased when the session ends. If you sign in with Google, your profile and application tracker are stored against your account so they persist between sessions; you can delete all stored data at any time with the "Clear all data" action in the app.
Employer verification
When you verify an employer, we look up public technical records (DNS, mail records, the employer's public website) about the employer's domain. This involves no personal data of yours beyond the job posting you provide.
Your rights
Under the NDPA (Nigeria) and GDPR (if you are in the EU), you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Contact: hello@emploihq.com.
